Funeral Services for Evelyn Standley, 91, of Corrigan, TX, will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, December 22, 2013 in Stryker Baptist Church in Corrigan, TX, with Bro. Charlie Hodge officiating.
She loved her lord and served Him for many, many years at Stryker Baptist Church. Mrs. Standley was the oldest member of this church.
Evelyn enjoyed reading, quilting, playing dominoes, find the word puzzles. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends.
Mrs. Standley was born December 7, 1922 in Trinity County, TX, to Jack & Cinderalla (Smith) Walker and passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 in the Hospice of the Pines Memorial Hospital in Lufkin, TX.
Evelyn is survived by her, son Jay Standley and wife Marion of Corrigan, TX; daughters, Mary Lou Anderson and husband Bobby of Moody, TX, Sylvia Eleby of Seven Oaks, TX, Johnnie Marie Boyd of Corrigan, TX; 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends who will miss her greatly.
Mrs. Standley is preceded in death by her husband, Claudie T. Standley; son, Thurman J. Standley; parents; brother, I.C. Walker; sister, Geneive Loving and two great granddaughters.
Pallbearers will be Joe Bullock, Crit Bullock, Chris Standley, Josh Crott, Clayton Bullock and John Stripling.
Funeral Services entrusted to Corrigan Funeral Home, 204 E. Front Street, Corrigan, Texas.
