Graveside Services for James C. Gage, 68, of Leggett, Texas will be held 12:00 P.M., Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Jones Prairie Cemetery in Leggett, Texas with Bro. Lesly Wilkinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Jones Prairie Cemetery in Leggett, Texas. The family will receive friends from 10:30~11:30 A.M. Thursday, May 28, 2015 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel.
James was born May 2, 1947 to his parents Leon and Dorothy Carter Gage and passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Leggett, Texas.
Mr. Gage grew up in Leggett community and attended Leggett High School. After graduating from high school he joined the United States Navy where he served his country proudly. One of his favorite hobbies was hunting. He was known to everyone by his nickname, “12 Gage”.
James is survived by his daugthers, Vanessa Gage, Shana Hart, Lisa McCarty; brother, Almer Gage; 7 grandchildren and a host of friends who will miss him greatly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Dorothy Gage.
Pallbearers will be Tim Cones, Almer Gage, Brent Cotton, Lynn Davidson and Ed Jones.
Honorary Pallbeaers are Jacob Cotton, Lance Leisy and Bobby Gage.
